# The desktop meal planner · Forkboard

> Forkboard is a web-first, desktop-first meal planner — plan your whole week on one board, with a full iPhone app that does everything the web does, in sync (Android coming soon).

Forkboard is a web-first, desktop-first meal planner. Planning seven dinners is a whole-week decision, and it is far easier when you can see the whole week at once on a roomy screen — the way you already plan a budget, a trip, or a project. Forkboard lays Monday through Sunday out as a board (think Trello or Linear for weeknight meals), so it can plan by energy, thread leftovers across days, build around your pantry, and learn your taste. Web-first is not web-only: there is a full iPhone app that does everything the web does, in sync, with an Android app on the way.

## Common questions

### Is there a desktop meal planner that runs in the browser?

Yes — Forkboard is a web-first, desktop-first meal planner that runs in any browser with no install. It lays your whole week of dinners on one board so you can see all seven nights at once on a roomy screen, and the same plan syncs to a full iPhone app (an Android app is coming soon).

### Do I need to download anything to plan on my laptop?

No. Forkboard opens in a browser tab — Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox on a Mac, PC, or Chromebook — with nothing to install or update. You sign in and your week is saved to your account and synced to every device you log in on.
