# Sharing your week

> Publish the current week as a public, sign-in-free link.

Sometimes the week is worth sending. Publishing turns the board you just planned into a public page anyone can open — a partner, a roommate, the person doing the shopping — with no account and no sign-in.

## Publish the current week

Publishing happens on the web, on the board for the current week. Once a plan is in place, you flip it from draft to published and get a link to copy.

1. Open the current week's board with a generated plan in place.
2. Click Publish. The status pill changes from Draft to Published.
3. A public link appears in the top bar in the form forkboard.app/share/<id>.
4. Click Copy and send it. Anyone who opens it sees a read-only view of the week — no sign-in required.

## What the link shows

The shared page is a clean snapshot, not a window into your account. It shows your household name and, for each night, the meal's title, description, cuisine, time, effort, allergens, and the ingredients you'll actually need. It never includes an email address, any internal ID, or billing details.

The link lives on forkboard.app no matter which surface you published from, and it loads fast from the edge for whoever opens it.

## Keeping the link current

A share link is a snapshot of the week as it stood when you published. Regenerating the week or swapping a single meal drops the plan back to Draft, so the published view stops matching what you see. When that happens, publish again to refresh the link.

> Note: Publishing is web-only and works on the current week only. Child (rate-only) accounts can't publish, and there's no in-product way to unpublish a link once it's out.
